Congratulations to the Westlake Athletic Department for earning the 2025 Section 1 Community Service Award for their efforts with Spirit Day. Over the past 12 years, Wildcats Spirit Day has raised over $525,000 for childhood cancer research through the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation.
“This is the first time the award has been given to an entire Athletic Department rather than an individual team which speaks to the significance the event holds, not just for our student-athletes, but for our entire school community!” said Dave Kantrowitz, Westlake Athletic Director.
A Section 1 representative will officially present the Community Service award on Saturday, November 15th at 3:00pm during Class B football finals.
TLC is beyond grateful to the Westlake Athletic Department for their dedication to making Spirit Day a time of remembrance, awareness, and most of all, FUN!
