Year-End Appeal 2025
Research is FUNDamental — Especially Now
Federal funding is shrinking. Now more than ever, your support is critical to protect life-saving research for children with cancer.
A Turning Point
This year marked a major turning point: TLC co-hosted the first Care for Rare Conference, bringing together more than 40 top researchers from around the world to accelerate discoveries in two rare pediatric brain tumors found in infants and young children – ATRT and ETMR.
A Bold Commitment
From that collaboration emerged three new research projects. One — led by Dr. Eric Raabe — is testing a therapy that stops tumor cells from proliferating. TLC pledged $50,000 to support the project. $25,000 is already funded. Our remaining goal: $25,000 by year-end to support the second half of the project in 2026.
Why This Year Matters More
Funding for childhood cancer research was already insufficient. But now, federal support is under extreme pressure. Research labs are closing, scientists are leaving the field, and clinical trials are being suspended. Axios+3The Daily Campus+3Nature+3
This is exactly the moment to hold the line. Your gift ensures that promising projects don’t come to a halt — that we protect the future of discovery, and protect children’s lives.
Your Role in the Fight
Every donation keeps this research moving forward. In rare cancers, progress depends on continuous support — there’s no room for pause. Will you help us fulfill our commitment and keep hope alive?

Year-End Appeal 2024

This year marks 12 years since we began this journey to fight childhood cancer in Ty’s memory. Coincidentally, Ty would have been in his 12th year of school if cancer hadn’t taken him from us. Instead, he spent much of his short life learning from a hospital bed. His story reminds us of the thousands of children battling cancer each year who dream of going to school and celebrating life’s milestones.
When we started, it felt like we were in Kindergarten compared to larger organizations, but with your support, we’ve grown immensely. Today, we’re advancing innovative research, collaborating with like-minded partners, and practicing thoughtful stewardship of your contributions.
As Ty should have been preparing to graduate, we feel we’ve crossed a threshold too. Your year-end gift can ensure more children achieve their dreams. Together, we can create a future filled with laughter, learning, and possibility.
Sincerely,
Louis and Cindy Campbell
