On Sunday, September 28, the Wildcats hosted its 11th Annual Spirit Day at Westlake High School, where more than 400 athletes ranging from grades one through six participated.

In the past 12 years, Wildcats Spirit Day has raised over $525,000 for childhood cancer and have funded several research projects that continue to make a difference in the lives of many. Mt Pleasant has created a movement in the community, one to be proud of!
Spirit Day would not have been possible without the generosity of hundreds of volunteers and local businesses. Throughout the years, thousands of shirts were sold, sponsors hosted month long events,  and a beautiful gold tree was placed in Hawthorne to represent childhood cancer awareness.
Every single dollar counts towards making a difference in pediatric cancer research, so thank you to everyone who threw a few dollars in a bucket, purchased a raffle ticket, donated from the Spirit Day wish list, or generously sponsored the event. An wonderful community came together to create an amazing day year after year.
