On Sunday, September 25, the Westlake Wildcats and surrounding community members came together in support of pediatric cancer research. Spearheaded by the tireless efforts of Lori Ferrara, more than 400 athletes participated in athletic games while helping to raise money to fight against childhood cancer. This fun-filled day included football games, great music courtesy of ESU DJs, beautiful fall plants/pumpkins, face painting, a pie-in-the-face booth, concession stands, Ty’s candy shoppe, and incredible raffle baskets.
Since its inception in 2015, Spirit Day has raised $250,000 for the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation to help fund innovative research and clinical trials specifically geared toward the treatment of the most aggressive childhood cancers. We are incredibly grateful for the love and dedication that have been poured into this event by Lori, her husband Mike, and her wonderful team of volunteers!
