Yellowstone Themed Governor’s Ball Raises Almost $100,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation hosted its eleventh annual fundraising gala at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. The Yellowstone themed event included cocktail hour, five-hour open bar, dinner, casino tables, dancing, raffles, a large silent auction and exciting live auction. The upscale country western decor in the hotel foyer during cocktail hour gave guests a hint of what was to come during the main event. The ballroom doors opened into the world of the Dutton Ranch, decorated beautifully with an authentic western feel.

Each year, TLC honors a community member with the “Heart of Gold” Award. This year’s recipient was Michael Ferrara. Mike defines generosity, dedication, and the true spirit of giving. He has helped to transform the annual Wildcats Spirit Day from a fundraiser that brought in $15,000 in 2017 to an event that raised almost $100,000 in 2024. Co-founders, Cindy and Lou Campbell, were honored to present Mike with the “Heart of Gold” Award for his relentless commitment to helping others.

Guests were invited to enjoy dinner while learning about the vital mission of the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation before hitting the dance floor and casino tables for some late night fun while placing bids on auction items. After an important video demonstrating the impact that the organization has had on childhood cancer research over the years, hundreds of donations and auction bids came flooding in, raising almost $100,000 for childhood cancer research.
